Ceramic Buttons and Earrings
with Joshua Rysted
You probably never though about ceramic buttons or earrings, but clay can look like almost anything. Carve it, shape it, roll it, stamp it, glaze it. Whatever you want, you can do it. In this two day course, you will create up to five pairs or earrings or ten buttons or a combination of each (15 items max per person). Day one will be shaping and forming your buttons or earrings. Day two the following week will be decorating with glaze. Your finished pieces wil include earring findings. No previous clay experience is required for this class. All tools and supplies will be provided by the clay studio. Projects will be glazed and fired and ready for pick up approximately one week after the last class.

Drawing for Beginners

Draw for yourself, find your own style, and send your inner critic "to the gym!" Learn some new techniques, take a chance on a new drawing tool (charcoal, colored pencil, a sumi brush), or a different drawing surface (what is plate vs vellum?). Discover how you enter a drawing, and whether it is tight or loose, and what on earth value and foreshortening have to do with anything? Come and have fun in a positive atmosphere. Bring a bag lunch. Dreams are vital to our emotional and mental well-being. Working with dreams increases our knowledge and understanding of ourselves. Over 3 weeks you will learn to effectively recall your dreams and accurately record them. Then we begin both individually and as a group to interpret the dreams (messages) received. Emergency Health Care

These are blended learning classes. Students complete an online class and then take a 1 skills class with a qualified instructor. Complete your initial certification in Heartsaver, First Aid, or Basic Life Support for Health Professionals. You can also get re-certified if your card is still current. The price of the online portion varies depending on the course you take. Skills check is $20 paid directly to the instructor.
