Introduction to Clicker Training for your dog, chicken or horse!

Clicker Training is the standard method for training wild animals in zoos to facilitate safe management of animals. This presentation is an introduction to the principles of Clicker Training and positive training techniques and how to apply them to training your dog (or other pet!) new behaviors and techniques to cope with new situations including vet and groomer visits. This class will introduce you to the concepts of shaping and capturing behaviors and how to use the clicker and reward to get fast results in establish desirable behaviors. Students will be practicing using the clicker in exercises and games with each other. We will discuss how to build a training program. This is not a dog training class, please do not bring your dog (or chicken!) Clickers will be provided.
