with Lucy Abbott

Be prepared to learn mre about the health benefits of Tai Chi with Karen Reilly, Sc.D, how to live your best life with Healthy Bones with Ben Ellis, PT, DT, and the Joy of Music with Jewel Clark, professional musician. This promises to have the audience ready for spring. Karen Reilly, certified Tai Chi instructor, will explain how and why Tai Chi is an excellent form of exercise for any age and physical dondition. Sometimes refered to as mindful, moving meditation, Tai Chi is a low-impact form of exercise. The audience will be encouraged to participate in one of two easy Tai Chi forms.
Ben Ellis is a physical therapist whoe priority is helping people regain function and decrease pain so that they can better participate in the activites they desire. His talk on bone health will include osteoporosis prevention and management, fracture prevention and maintaining an active lifestyle as we age.
Jewel Clark completes the profram with her singing and yodeling as she inspires listeniner to sing along or "shake a leg".

Pottery; Try Out the Potters Wheel Session II
with Joshua Rysted

Experience working on the potter’s wheel in this two-hour session for adults. Working on the wheel is an age-old practice of using your hands and a spinning wheel to create useful and beautiful objects out of clay. You will learn the basics of centering the clay on the wheel, opening the form, and pulling up the walls to make everything from bowls to vases. Up to three completed pieces per person.

Pottery; Butter Dishes!

Don’t you just love butter? It is so good to cook with and spread on warm bread. Butter is so wonderful that it deserves a fancy place on your counter. Get rid of that old plate with the chipped edge and come create your very own covered butter dish.

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking: A great way to get out and tone up for spring and summer. Gentle enough to support and help balance those achy muscles and not feel like exercise. This is also great for those in post-rehab or need to work on balance. This class is suitable for the fit and those that want to be. Poles provided by the instructor, or can bring your own. Knitting Lab
with Betsy Raymond

Do you have a project that you have given up on because you hit a snag and couldn’t figure it out? Did you start something you thought you could finish but it was too hard? Or do you just need a little boost to get your knitting habit back on track again? Betsy will be here Wednesdays in April to help you with your knitting problems. Dig out your unfinished projects and she will help you salvage them, or she will help you get started on something new that seems too challenging to attempt without guidance. Bring an old project or start a new one but have help as your work. 4 weeks.

Beginner Guitar
with Liam Childs

Learn how to play the guitar with this beginner class. Liam will teach you the basics from terminology to chord strumming, tuning and string replacement. This class is for those with no experience but have always wanted to learn and for those with a little experience but need that little bit more to get you started with more confidence. Liam Childs is a college student who has been playing for ten years.
Limited availability. If you have a guitar it is recommended that you bring it! If you don't, there are guitars available to use on loan at no extra cost.
