Let your creative juices flow! Design your own eggs following India's easy step by step instructions.  All materials are supplied. Learn about the traditional craft of Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanky) as well as the principles of wax resist method of dyeing. Max 10 students.






Fiddle for Experienced Players

Students should be proficient in playing a number of tunes on their own. Come with your tune list. We will add to it and improve on the tunes you already know. Our emphasis will be playing and learning tunes by ear. Practice advanced bowing techniques and how to perform traditional tunes with your own personal flair. You will need your own violin. Maximum 6 students

Fly Tying with John Wight

The instructor is John Wight, a Master Maine Guide for over 50 years. All tools and materials are provided, as well as handouts for your reference. Geared for beginners, but tiers with experience will not be disappointed.

This course is 6 weeks, starting with basic flies that teach the skills you will need to progress to the harder patterns. All the flies in this course are the ones that are used in this part of Maine starting with simple streamers then on to Caddis, Stone, and May Flies that are common here in Western Maine. Practice is expected between classes, and arrangements can be made to take tools and materials home to help in that regard.

Greek Night

This is a hands-on and lecture class, where you will learn to make Greek chicken, Spanikopita (spinach pie), and of course Baklava for dessert. Bring your appetite and a covered dish to take home your creations.

Brighten up your mid-winter nights with a ceramic luminary. In this one day course, you will use slabs of clay to hand build a beautiful and functional ceramic tea light lantern. The slabs of clay will be cut and pierced so that a tea light shines through the holes. You will also have the option to turn your luminary into a scented wax melter. No previous clay experience is required for this class. All tools and supplies will be provided by the clay studio. Your finished project will be glazed in your choice of color and ready for pick up approximately two weeks after class.

We will also discuss how Essential Oils can support your goals of maintaining a healthy weight by curbing your appetite, increasing your metabolism, and supporting your daily energy level. All participants will leave with 3 Essential Oil samples and 1 make and take Essential Oil product.
