First Aid & CPR

This class will take place on May 14th & 15th.
This instructor-led class includes CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for adults, child, and infant, as well as AED (automated external defibrillator) and first aid. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and care for individuals in emergency situations including cardiac arrest. Emphasis will be on providing basic care until advanced medical care personnel arrive and take charge. American Heart Association CPR certification will be awarded upon successful completion of class requirements. First Aid and CPR cards are good for two years and meet the requirements for child care providers. This is a two night class with CPR on the first night.

There are many ways to support your favorite charity as part of your estate plans. There are effective ways and not-so-effective ways to do it. Before taking action, we suggest you consider WHAT you might give, and HOW you might give. This program will review some common and effective ways to support your favorite charities and also discuss some pitfalls to avoid.

Pottery; "Vases"
with Joshua Rysted
This is a hand-built pottery class.
In this one-day ceramic hand-building course, you will learn to make a slab constructed vase. Textures will be used to create dynamic surfaces on a vase that will make a beautiful addition to your home. Your finished project will be glazed in your choice of color. It will be ready for pick up approximately two weeks after class. No previous clay experience is required for this class. All tools and supplies will be provided by the clay studio.

This course covers the basics of how to use Apple’s popular iPhone. This class starts with the basicsof how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to touch id to face recognition technology.Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed, including how it will help secure your data and allow yourdata to be used across multiple Apple devices. The App Store will be covered to find additionalapplications that may meet your varied interest and needs.

NDEC; Creating a Facebook Business Page
This two-session class teaches participants how to create their first Facebook Page for a business, nonprofits, or cause. We also go over inviting friends to like your page, producing content, and page management to have a successful page on Facebook.
