When you meet with the Adult Education director, an individualized plan will be created that works for you, your specific needs, and life situation. You will be given an account to work in a self-paced style program with HiSET and progress from there. When ready, you can take practice tests, and eventually the exams. There are five tests in total in five subject areas; Math, Science, Social Studies, English Reading, and English Writing. When necessary, we will set you up with a tutor in the subjects that you need a little more support with. Your students come to you with a diverse set of needs, and you will need to implement strategies that help support each student's success in your classroom. You will analyze Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, consider the needs of your own students, and then work to evaluate and implement strategies for support in your classroom.
